Pinrove Support

Pinrove sets your iPhone's location from your own Mac. Pinrove Remote is the iPhone companion: it lets you choose the location from the phone itself, and your Mac applies it.

For app development and testing only. Pinrove is intended solely for developing and testing iOS apps that use location. It must not be used for any other purpose, including misleading other people, apps or services about where you are.

What you need

Pinrove for Mac (download) on an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later.
An iPhone with Developer Mode turned on.
The iPhone and the Mac on the same Wi-Fi network.

Set up

The first time, connect the iPhone to the Mac with a cable, tap Trust, and turn on Developer Mode. After that it works over Wi-Fi.
In Pinrove on the Mac, turn on Phone remote. A 6-digit pairing code appears.
Open Pinrove Remote on the iPhone, choose your Mac from the list, and enter the code.
Pick a place on the map and tap Move here. Tap Restore real location when you're done.

Troubleshooting

The app keeps showing "Searching…"

Make sure the iPhone and the Mac are on the same Wi-Fi, that Phone remote is turned on in Pinrove for Mac, and that Pinrove Remote is allowed under Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.

"Mac isn't connected to the phone"

Pinrove on the Mac has lost its connection to the iPhone. Unlock the iPhone and keep it on the same Wi-Fi. If it still fails, connect the cable once.

The location doesn't change

Keep the iPhone unlocked while connecting, and check that Developer Mode is on (Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode).

How do I get my real location back?

Tap Restore real location in either app. Restarting the iPhone also restores it.

准备

Pinrove Mac 版（下载），需 Apple 芯片 Mac、macOS 14 或以上。
iPhone 已开启“开发者模式”。
iPhone 与 Mac 连接同一个 Wi-Fi。

设置步骤

首次使用时，用数据线把 iPhone 连到 Mac，点“信任”，并开启开发者模式。之后即可通过 Wi-Fi 使用。
在 Mac 版 Pinrove 中打开“手机遥控”，会显示 6 位配对码。
在 iPhone 上打开 Pinrove Remote，从列表中选择你的 Mac，输入配对码。
在地图上选好位置，点“移动到这里”；用完点“恢复真实定位”。

常见问题

一直显示“正在搜索…”

确认 iPhone 和 Mac 在同一 Wi-Fi、Mac 版已打开“手机遥控”，并在“设置 › 隐私与安全性 › 本地网络”中允许 Pinrove Remote。

提示“Mac 未连接手机”

Mac 版 Pinrove 与 iPhone 的连接断开了。请解锁 iPhone 并保持在同一 Wi-Fi；仍不行就用数据线连接一次。

定位没有变化

连接时保持 iPhone 解锁，并确认已开启开发者模式（设置 › 隐私与安全性 › 开发者模式）。

怎么恢复真实定位？

在任一 App 中点“恢复真实定位”。重启 iPhone 也会恢复。
